Robert C Goble

Robert Clinton “Bob” Goble, 82 years old, passed away on Friday, March 22nd, 2019.

He was born on April 3rd, at home in Nichols, NY during the flood of 1936 to Mildred Dubois Goble and Harold C. Goble.  

 Bob was affectionately known as “Gramps” to his former co-workers at the Waverly Police Department and “Poppy” to his ten grandchildren.  In his earlier years he enjoyed Formula 1 race car driving, water skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and fixing outboard motors; later, he enjoyed boating on Seneca Lake, puttering around the farm, meeting his friends at the Town Diner, and spending time with his family.

Bob was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Jean (Goble) Snyder and Betty (Goble) Haner.

Bob is survived by his children Ronald (Jennifer) Goble of Whittier, CA; Christen (Paul) Baker of Dover, DE, Katie (Jay) Blood of Athens.  He is also survived by grandchildren Ryan, Lynsey, Sara, and their mother, Bonnie Goble; Brian, Kyle, Alex and Michael Baker; Emma and Elly Shaff, Joseph Blood IV, and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas Cremation and Funeral Services of 1297 Elmira St. Sayre is assisting the Goble family with arrangements.  Those wishing to leave a sympathy message for Bob’s family may do so at thomascremationfuneralservice.com . Private services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
