Barbara A. (Brunk) Feathers

Barbara A. Brunk Feathers, age 67, passed away peacefully on May 21 at Robert Packer Hospital
after an extended illness. Throughout her illness, Barbara deeply valued the unwavering support
extended to her by friends and family, which provided her with immense comfort and strength.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lavere (Pete) Feathers, and her parents, Edward
A. Brunk and Alice E. Palmer Brunk.

She is survived by her daughter Kristen Feathers, who was
the light of her life. Also surviving are her brothers Richard (Patricia) Brunk and Ronald Brunk,
and her nieces Kelly (Russell) Mack, Lisa (Kosta) Makris, Cortni (Daniel) Wickham, and
nephews Kevin (Danielle) Brunk and Justin (LizAnn) McEwen.

Barbara dedicated 33 years of her life to Athens Animal Hospital, as a veterinary technician,
where her love for animals and her unwavering commitment to their care made a lasting impact.
During her years there, she created many fond memories with her co-workers and clients,
forming lifelong friendships and touching the hearts of many.

Before her tenure at the animal hospital, she served as the manager of Stray Haven Humane
Society, advocating tirelessly for the well-being of stray and abandoned animals.

Outside of her professional life, Barbara was an avid quilter, creating beautiful, handcrafted
quilts that she generously gifted to close friends and relatives.

Honoring Barbara's request, a private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers,
Barbara requested that donations be directed in her memory to Stray Haven Humane Society,
194 Shepard Road, Waverly, NY 14892, continuing her lifelong mission of helping animals in
need.

Barbara's warm heart and gentle soul touched many lives, and she will be dearly missed by her
family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
