David (Hickory) Streeter
Sept. 18-1957 - May 7-2025
We announce the passing of David Laverne Streeter on May 7, 2025, after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his significant other of 43 years, Beatrice Hyatt (Streeter), his brothers Lloyd and Steven Streeter, his parents Betty Kowalik and Lloyd Streeter, his grandfather Orn and Helen Apcart, and Leonard and Catherine Casselburry.
David is survived by his siblings: sister Donna and John Harbst, brothers Brian and John and Coral Streeter, sister Jackie and John Keier, and sister Katherine Streeter. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
David was a long-time member of the Sugar Creek Band as the bass player, an active member of the VFW, an active member of the Sayre American Legion for thirty-five years, Honest Horse Thieves and was part of the Orange Hill Gang. He loved to entertain kids and adults alike and was an Athens High School graduate.
Special thanks to all the Scrivener families for their years of friendship and to Maddie Chacona for all she did for David.
David's spirit, kindness, and love for music will be remembered by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
Celebration of life will be held at the Honest Horse Thieves on June 7th at 12:00pm.
