Gail Marie (McIver) Hotchkiss

Gail Marie Hotchkiss, 89, of Waverly NY; passed away peacefully after an extended illness, on Tuesday November 12, 2024, at Elderwood at Waverly in Waverly NY.

Born on September 22, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Marie and Neil McIver.

Gail graduated from Waverly High School. She worked and retired from the United States Department of Veteran Affairs after many years of dedicated service. Gail was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She enjoyed painting, embroidering cards, playing cards, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. 

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband William Hotchkiss of 57 years; sister and brother-in-law Janice and Donald Tennant; sister-in-law Linda Hotchkiss; mother-in-law Margaret Hotchkiss; father-in- law Clarence Hotchkiss.

She is survived by her daughter Kim Chambers (Tom Palmer) and Son William Hotchkiss II, Grandchildren Stephanie Rogers, Ashley Ellers (Rob Blow), Great Grandchildren, Johanna, Carter, Thomas, Rylan, sister in-law/brother in-law Beverly and Lloyd Correll, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends: there will be a celebration of life at Tomasso’s 398 County Rd 60, Waverly, NY; November 23,2024 from 12:00pm- 2:00pm.
