Harold J. Birkhead, Jr.

Harold J. Birkhead, 67, passed away March 6, 2025, peacefully, with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Philadelphia on March 17, 1957. He was the son of the late Harold & Patricia Birkhead.                                             

Harold loved life, hunting, fishing and boating. He loved the outdoors and nature. He has always loved snowplowing and has been doing it since he could drive and still had some of the same customers. He loved working and building his gazebo, 2 ponds, pole barn, garage and tractor barn.  Once the weather got nice, he loved cutting grass with his numerous tractors he has collected throughout the years. He loved our 2 Yorkies, Smokey and Rocky. Every day we would take them for a ride in the Ranger. They loved it every time and they loved their daddy.                          

He started out as a carpenter 45 years ago and was a superintendent for T.N.Ward . 

Harold is survived by his loving wife Jessie Susan Birkhead, his sister and brother in-law Patti (Birkhead) Smith & Harold, his younger sister Kitty (Birkhead) Kosmos & husband Pete. His Sisters in laws and husbands, Jeanette & Joe Clemenson, Beverly & Jim Clemenson, Cindy and Bob Gordon, Ginny and (late) Bob Murphy, and George and Angie.

He's survived by numerous nieces, nephews & their families, many cousins & extended families. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Grille in Sayre, 718 N. Lehigh Ave., on Friday April 4, 2025 from 1-5PM.
