Lilias Scott Bell,93, of Sayre,formerly of Honesdale, Pa., passed away on Wednesday June 28,2023 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. She was born to her parents Thomas and Mary Johnstone on April 28, 1930 in Carlstadt, New Jersey.
She had many places of employment throughout her years. She was a Walmart associate at the Honesdale Walmart until the age of 89.
Lilias special interests included visiting with friends, singing to her plants, and attending her grandchildren’s many events.
Lilias is survived by: her children- Thomas(Teresa) Hourcade, David(Hazel) Hourcade, and Missy(Jamie)VanDuzer. Her grandchildren- Lindsay(Brian)Terwilliger, Erin(Brian)Duffy, Jean-Luc Hourcade(Shannon Turner), Brelin VanDuzer, Kannon VanDuzer, Mazlin VanDuzer, and Afftyn VanDuzer and her great grandchildren- Mason, Olivia and Audrey Terwillger .Also a cousin- Jeanette Rhode and nieces -Anna Tulyea,Kathleen Allen, and Ethel Schmidt. She also had special friends- The Jurgensen Family and her Walmart co-workers.
Lilias was predeceased by her husband Frank P. Bell, her son Alan S. Hourcade, her parents Thomas and Mary Johnstone, and her stepmother Catherine Johnstone.. Also a friend Ethel Knehr.
A celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
