Melissa (Missy) J. (Morningstar) Coe

Melissa J Coe (Morningstar), age 66, of Sayre passed away Friday, October 27th,2023 surrounded by family.  Born June 7th, 1957, to Elwyn and Louise (Nobles) Morningstar in Sayre PA. She was a graduate of Athens Area High School.

Missy was a Head Start teacher at Bradford-Tioga Head start for 21 years before switching careers ultimately ending up at Smith Photography where she enjoyed the countless youth sporting teams and school photo shoots over the years. Missy was a very active community member serving in several capacities on the Boards of Directors of Sayre Little League for over 30 years, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, community volunteer and friend who loved all. She enjoyed concerts, Penn State Tailgates, Trips to the city to watch her NY Mets and most of all her grandchildren who simply referred to her as “PA”.

Preceded in death by her father and nephew Matthew B. Sessaman. She is survived by her sweetheart and husband of 41 years, Duane “Harold” Coe, sons; Michael Cron and his wife, Carissa, Bradley Cron and his wife, Heather, Timothy Cron, and his wife Lisa; daughter Holli Coe; 6 Grand Children Kaitlyn(Meaghan), Jonathon(McKenzie), Aubree, Espn, Austin and Hazel;  Brother; Robert and his wife Carrie, Sister; Rebecca and her spouse Jan; Special niece Jennifer Morningstar Sessaman, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.

 As per her wishes a celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, November 4th, 2023, at the Sons of Italy Roman Madre Lodge, 301 Desmond St Sayre, PA 18840. The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Bradford County Manor. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to Sayre Little League P.O.
