Patty Jean (Storelli) Babcock

    Patty J. Babcock 65, of Sayre, PA.,passed away peacefully Wed. Dec. 4,2024 at home with her husband Ron by her side. Born July 2,1959 at the Robert Packer in Sayre to the late John and Patricia Jean (Mitchell) Storelli.                                                                       

She lived most of her life right here in Sayre with Ron. Patty attended Sayre Epiphany School and graduated Sayre High School with the class of 1978. She loved taking wood and metal shops in high school. She spent her life caring for others with 19 years as a CNA, loving her residents and then 11 years at Athens Animal Hospital, taking care of all the sick animals as she referred to as her kids. She loved to bring them home to Ron to keep (1 cat and 3 dogs) along with our other 7 setters.                                                                     

Patty is survived by her husband Ron for 32 years where outside of work if you seen Patty you seen Ron. Sons James Cody Durfee of MT.Vernon,Wash. Colin and Alanna Durfee (who drove 6 hrs. up and 6 hrs back for the last 4 months to spend Saturday afternoon with his mom) of McKeesport, PA.  Daughters Cambria Durfee of Sayre, Tasha Jo and Tom Williams of Chenango Forks, NY. and Jill Camillo of Schenectady. and a very dear friend and stepmother Mary Storelli of S. Waverly, and sister and brother Linda and John Storelli of Corning and Waverly N.Y.  Grandchildren Avery Durfee, Alanna Miller, Trent and Trever Williams, and Jude and Lena Camillo. Sister and brother-in-law Sandy and Randy Talada ,Cindy and Jim Bobenchik,Tam and Ringo Ringenary,and Pam Carpenter. Very special friends John Dodge and Ron and Annie Lattimer                     

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law Betty Jean Babcock who she held a very special bond with, father and mother-in-law Richard and Genive Babcock, sister Cindy Storelli who she missed dearly, brother-in-law Rick Babcock and grandparents Arthur and Peg Storelli, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mitchell and a very, very special adopted daughter Crystal Walker .

        She loved her animals to no end always having 3 cats and 3 dogs, mainly irish setters for the last 30 years.                                                                               

  By her wishes there will be no calling hours. Assistance is in the hands of Thomas Cremation and Funeral Service, 1297 Elmira St., Sayre, Pa..and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Thomas Cremations to help offset the cost or to Stray Haven or Bradford Co. Humane Society. There is also a go fund me on facebook .
