Richard H. Snedeker, Jr passed away on May 9 th 2024 at Robert Packer Hospital
after a long illness. He was predeceased by his parents Richard, Sr. and Evelyn
(Olmstead) Snedeker and a sister Edith (Annie) Maffei.
Richard is survived by his wife Joan (Dochter) Snedeker of 52 years together, two sons, Todd
Snedeker of LeRaysville, PA and Brandon Snedeker of Windham Summit, Pa. He has
three grandchildren, Taten Snedeker, of Floresville, TX., Skyler (Snedeker) and Mason
Vaughan of Virginia Beach, VA and Kiersten Snedeker of Windham Summit, Pa.
He is also survived by his siblings: Donna Every, Waverly, NY, Joan (Keith) Chilson, North Orwell, PA,
Laura Gogets, Myerstown, PA, Barbara (Louis) Martin, Windham Summit, Pa.,
Robert (Sharon) Snedeker, Reinholds, Pa., Kim Snedeker, Waverly, NY.,
Carla (Joe) Menti, Waverly, NY.
Richard had 18 nieces and nephews, 31 great nieces and nephews and 13 great, great
nieces and nephews.
Richard graduated from Northeast Bradford High School, then went to work for
Lehigh Vally Railroad. In 1980, he went to work for Valley Joint Sewage Authority until
he retired in 2017. He loved going to work there with all the different guys he worked
with over the years. He is the longest employee that ever worked there.
Richard was a very active person: He bowled in a mens and mixed league, golfed in a mens
and mixed league, loved working in his garden and going fishing with me on our pond.
Honoring Richard wishes there will be no funeral services or visitation.
Richard said, “He will be waiting at the Golden Gates to greet all his family
members and friends when it’s their time to come!
