Robert J. Huber, JR.

Robert J. Huber Jr, 74, of Waverly, NY passed away peacefully on October 14, 2023, at Rober Packer Hospital. Robert (Bob) was born on June 6, 1949, in Sayre, PA to the late Robert J. Huber Sr and Charlotte Smith Huber Glossenger. Bob attended Athens Area Schools. He was a lifelong over the road truck driver who loved to talk all about his adventures during his retirement years.

Bob was an avid model builder of cars and trains, and large-scale scenario train sets. Other hobbies included playing guitar and mandolin, painting, and having large family cookouts where he loved to grill (but never ate his own food).

Bob is survived by his wife, Sylvia Foote Huber of Waverly, NY, sister Angela (Tim) Tompkins of Corning NY, daughters Lisa Davis of Horseheads NY and Tina (Dave) Goodwin of Athens PA, stepsons John Foote of Nichols, NY, Phillip (Kristi) Foote, of Beaver Dams, NY, and Steven Foote of Candor NY, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson Phillip (PJ) Foote Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family at Kinsman Hall in Athens, PA on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm.
