Roberta A. (Allis) Sabitus-Place

Roberta A. Sabitus-Place,87, passed away on Saturday April 20, 2024 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa.. Roberta was born on January 28, 1937 to her parents Lyndon (Casey) and Martha Hunsinger Allis in Towanda, Pa. She graduated from Towanda Area Schools. She then earned her Associates Degree from Elmira College and her Bachelors Degree from Keystone College.

Roberta was a member of The Guthrie Community Bank Board for several years. She served as Sheshequin Township Secretary/Treasurer and Litchfield Township Board of Elections for several years. Roberta was employed at the Robert Packer Hospital for many years and lastly served as the Director of Human Resources of The Heritage Nursing Facility.

Roberta's hobbies included quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family, as well as antiquing and going to flea markets.

Roberta is survived by her husband Thomas W. Place, her daughters Teri L. Sabitus and Sandra M. (Arnold) (Sabitus) Love. Her step-sons Wayne (Ann) Place and Buck (Shauntel Avery) Place and stepdaughter Shelli (Reid)Place Silkman .Roberta is also survived by her sister Sherry Allis Cook and Sherry's  children: Wayne, Mark, Robert, and Faye, her brother Jack (MaryLou) Allis and their children Daniel, Jackie, Janet, Kathy, and Brian, her brother Richard Allis (Lyndon), and brother Ronald (Thelma) Allis. Her grandchildren: Cheryl (Cliff) Boyer, Todd C. (Maria) Miller, Stefany J. Miller, Carmen Bundy, Kristen (Leandro) Comas Tamayo, Allison Love, Aaron (Jena) Love, Hannah Place, Elizabeth Place, Samantha Place, Cody (Brooke) Silkman and Caci Silkman (Josh) Lyons. She also had great-grandchildren: Abbie J. Miller, Kellen Miller, Aiden Miller, Vivica Hunsinger, Indigo Love, Rogue Love, Fern Love, Bailey Silkman, Oakley Silkman, and Kason Lyons.

Roberta was predeceased by her mother Martha Hunsinger Allis, her father Lyndon (Casey) Allis, Her husband Walter Sabitus II, her son Walter (Mike) Sabitus III, sisters and brother-in law Regina Sabitus Cotter, Eleanor Sabitus Bouno, William Sabitus and Margaret Sabitus Andrus.

There will be no public services held per Roberta's wishes. A private burial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions can be made in Roberta's name to Bradford County Humane Society.
